Torre dell'Orso

The seaside at Torre dell'Orso was just as pretty as we had hoped it would be. And everything just looked so beautiful in the late afternoon light... it made our walk on the cliffs absolutely breathtaking.

A bit of summer at last!

We've just come back from a few days in Puglia, at the very South of Italy. It was absolutely delightful and I have lots of photos to prove it, so stay tuned for numerous updates during the next few days.

We spent our first morning soaking up the sun and swimming in crystal clear water at the Torre Guaceto nature reserve. It was a great way to jump straight into holiday-mode!

So proud of my two little brothers...

... (who are actually a fair bit taller than me) and who are now both engineers!

Yay! Well done, guys!

Pretty structures

I've been going through lots of my photos for work this afternoon and these two caught my eye as I was scrolling down in iphoto... they date back to our beautiful weekend in Paris in November.

Almost the end of August already

It's the 28th already, almost the end of the month, and we are yet to have a full week of real summer weather.
Maybe we'll get a lovely autumn? I really hope so.

Picnic music

Did you know you could make a loud speaker for your iPhone with an empty box of Pringles? We tried after reading about it on the weekend - works like a charm!

1 - 2 - 3 - yum!

So easy and so delicious: the apple and blueberry crumble

1 - wash and chop the fruits
2 - make crumble (see my dad's recipe below) and spread over prepared fruits
3 - enjoy scrumptious result after a little while in the oven

Yum!

My dad's crumble:
- 1 unit of butter (i used 70 grams because that's what I had in the fridge)
- 2 units of flower flour
=> "sand" together
- 1 or 1.5 unit of sugar
- to taste: cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, etc.
=> add and mix
=> spread over fruits
=> bake at 180-200 degrees centigrade until top is golden and fruit is cooked
