There are no real Halloween festivities here (which I actually really don't miss at all as it was never a tradition when I was growing up in Switzerland) but after seeing this pumpkin ages ago, I just had to make one too.
And can you see what's in the cup in the fifth photo? Candy corn! The ultimate Halloween candy, which arrived all the way from Arizona yesterday. I'm so excited! Thank you so, so, so much Anne - it really made my day!
1. I like grape-flavoured stuff (and this drink in particular).
2. I'm sad Joannaleft Maastricht...
3. I'm very excited to show you what we received from the States (but you'll have to wait until tomorrow).
4. I've just spent two very fun team-event days with my colleagues - I'm so lucky to be part of such a wonderful group!
5. On my list of things to do before I die, I can now cross off "playing in an indoor snowfield".
6. And also "participating in a sumo wrestle" (or actually in this case a fat snowman wrestle).
7. I can't wait to watch the finale of Project Runway Season 8. I am very disappointed with the outcome of the finale.
8. I'm very happy we can sleep one extra hour tomorrow morning thanks to daylight saving. 9. I really enjoy this album. 10. I'm really sad Joanna left Maastricht...
I just couldn't resist a pair of these colourful gumboots for autumn... lucky there weren't' that many choices in my size anymore, otherwise I think I would never have managed to settle for one single pair - they are all so delicious! (I went forceladon).
We finally got to see the current exhibition at our local library - it was great! On top of dozens of posters from the 70's, they also had TV ads from the same period, which were pretty hilarious.
You can usually tell how beautiful I find a place by the amount of photos on my camera at the end of the day... Zeeland last Sunday was no exception to the rule; I could not keep myself from taking photos all the time. Everything was resplendent in the warm autumn light and we didn't see a speck of cloud the whole day - what a treat!
The photos hereunder are of Middelburg (Zeeland's capital), where we climbed the Lange Jan tower, and of Veere, an absolutely delightful little town by the water.
More photos of the rest of the day to come later on!
