10
I had to think really hard to choose which number 10 I was going to post today; I have lots that I really like. But this one was the most special: it was taken in London, when we were there with dear friends, during a lovely weekend in Spring this year...

Paper sculpture
We quickly went downtown after work tonight and my eye got caught by a beautiful paper feature in a shop window. Really, really pretty and 'it wouldn't be that hard to make' as Mart noticed! Well... I guess it wouldn't, but it would definitely take some patience...!
Mum found a tutorial on how to make these flowers - very easy indeed, but (as expected) quite time-consuming!

Just came back from the city center by bike and am absolutely soaked from the tiny drizzle - this silly type of rain can get you so wet!!

I am really excited about some of the Christmas presents I'm making - but can't show you any photos yet otherwise it would spoil the surprise for the ones who will get them... it will have to wait!

Monday again. It was hard to get out of bed this morning, but work went by so fast - now I have time to relax at home, work on some Christmas presents and enjoy the evening!

Saint Nicolas
In Switzerland we celebrate Saint Nicolas on December 6th, one day after the Dutch do their Sinterklaas. It's way more low-key than here, but it's still a special day, especially for children, who get excited to see Saint Nicolas and his donkey coming to villages to give out mandarines, peanuts and little chocolates.
On December 6th Swiss children also make 'Gritibaenz', or 'Bonshommes de pate'. And so did we - we had them for brunch today.

This photo was taken while getting off the ferry in NYC. It was a beautifully sunny and warm summer day, we were on holidays - what great memories!
