Cafe Blossom

Cafe Blossom, in The Hague, is such a lovely place. We ate a delicious lunch there on Friday.

I'm sorry it's been so quiet over here lately - I've been b - u - s - y !
(also we've had a few really beautiful sunny days recently, and I've spent them reading in the sun, on our roof terrace. Who wants to be at the computer when it's so nice outdoors!).

New little corner

The living room felt a little dark after we took the christmas 'tree' down and so I decided to keep some of the fairy lights in a vase. I propped them together with the origami ball (I've taken the lights out since the other day; I was a bit frightened of the potential fire hazard) on the pretty stool we bought the other day.
The little pompons date from then. I can't get myself to throw them away just yet.

P.S. I've had a lot of visitors from Israel today, thanks to the lovely Ronit and this post (for those of you (just like me) who are not fluent in Hebrew, here's the google translate version
).

Hi everyone! Welcome!

:-)

Warm, thick wool

It's crazy how quickly and fundamentally the weather can change: yesterday it was summer. The sun was shining, it was warm, and we spent the afternoon outdoors, lying in the sun. Today however is definitely autumn. The weather switched drastically overnight, and we've seen pretty much nothing but rain, dark clouds and icy winds.
This type of weather really makes me long for warm, cosy knitted stuff. Just like these.

Do you speak Ikea?

We had a busy day today: we cleaned up, took down ANEBODA, cleaned up some more and then spent two hours building up MANDAL. We still have to put together PAX, but that will have to wait a little. Maybe until we have some helping hands coming along. I wish we also had MASKROS, and maybe KOLDBY, in a nice caramel tone...

Photo from here.

By the way, while we are speaking the Ikea language, do you know your name in 'Ikea'?

Why didn't I think of that?

How cute is this bedside table spotted here?

I'm always amazed by such good ideas... why didn't I think of using a roof as a bookmark myself...?

:-)

Have a lovely weekend everyone!
