Bits of white in our apartment

I absolutely love looking at photos of beautiful white Scandinavian apartments with perfect furniture, fantastic light and just the right amount of little touches of colour.
Our place doesn't look like that one bit (hello clutter and mismatched items!) but I don't mind. I still love our apartment.

And I keep telling myself that if we moved into a nice big white space and selected some of the (many!) objects we currently have, we could also have a beautiful light and airy apartment!

P.S. the broach comes from the Brick Lane markets in London. Which animal do you reckon it is? Every time I wear it I get different opinions...!

Human time

After seeing this interesting clock on Dave's Christmas gift list and realizing I would have to win the lottery to be able to afford it, I downloaded the iPhone version, which is way more accessible.
And then I discovered another app by the same developers: QLOCKONE, or the human clock. They have made a 24-hour movie of themselves moving benches in a field, every minute... I am so amazed by some people's creativity!

Here are a few screenshots for you to enjoy.

And you know what? I think they share my love of 'special hours' (like 22:22). I just saw that they did a funny little choreography when that time came up!

I think I'm going to have to keep on checking (very) often to see what they do while changing numbers...!

New gent

I just discovered Swatch's new collection, and... I want one! Or, to be more precise: I want them all! I love all the colours, and actually, I'm very fond of the all-white one. And the all-black one too...

Day 11: Goodbye Denmark

We really, really didn't feel like leaving Denmark... we had such a perfect time in this wonderful country. On our way back South we decided to stop one last time to get ourselves iconic pieces of Denmark that we could bring home to remind us of all the good times we had. A Skagen watch for Mart, and a beautiful Georg Janssen daisy ring for me. And then it was really time to go.
It really felt like the holidays were over - look at the weather we had for most of the drive back down to Maastricht.

Talking about cool watches, I definitely wouldn't mind one of these colourful beauties either...!

Or one of these... much cheaper and just as beautiful.

New watch

Spent a lovely afternoon with Joanna and Kim today. The sun even came out to surprise us!

The watch is a purchase from last weekend. Mart and I are sharing it.
