Presents for baby Thomas

Mart's brother and his wife had a beautiful little boy recently and I made them a couple of personalised presents. We sent everything to Australia in the mail as we won't be able to meet the latest addition to the family for a couple of months. In the meanwhile they'll have these to remember us by! :-)

I printed the jumpsuit and mint cloth with templates I cut out of freezer paper and the Sydney changing mat is a crumpled city map I quilted together with thick grey tracksuit fabric. The white jumpsuit is a nod to the fact that Mart's brother has a craft beer wholesale company. 

Sunny birthday box

I put together a bright and sunny birthday box for my friend Joanna a few weeks ago. It was a lot of fun to pick the contents and pack it all in a pretty way.

Today is my friend Morgane's birthday. I sent her a cute and colourful little package in the mail.

One of our friends in Denmark turned 6 recently... I made her a personalised mug. :-)

Maria's name day

At work, our intern, who comes from Bulgaria, celebrated her name day today. I made her a little one of these, and she brought us delicious home-made chocolates. It was lovely!

It's been incredibly busy around here lately. Sorry for not giving this space the attention it deserves but in the past weeks I've found pretty much daily that I was either out of time or energy to sit down and put something together for my blog... Feels like days don't have enough hours in them! :-)

I think it might stay a little quiet here for the next few weeks, but don't worry, I'm still here!

P.S. I made the paper jewels using minieco's template (via sinnenrausch). Warning: they are extremely addictive to make; I couldn't stop myself cutting more and more of them!

Flying in the sky

Remember this day?
Well, Mart finally got to take his introductory flying lesson this weekend!
And I was sitting at the back of the tiny Cessna 172, feeling quite sick in the windy weather... :-)
It was great though! So cool to see the area we live in from the sky, and of course, for Mart, so wonderful to finally fly in the sky!

Airvases

One of my mum's friend brought her three beautiful black and white air vases back from Japan... we opened them today; they are SO pretty!
