Summer

It should be summer here in the South of the Netherlands but we've seen so much rain lately that it feels more like fall. It reminds me of last year.
We've had some lovely days though (like when I took this photo a few evenings ago). I hope they come back soon!

Little dancers

These little ladies who were dancing in the sunset the other day are now on their way to Switzerland, where they will go and live in a talented little dancer's bedroom.

I made them with the same wall-sticker material as these, these and these.

Happy birthday Caitlin!

I made some more wall stickers recently: some dinosaurs for Caitlin's 4th birthday. I hope they will like it up there in their new home in Denmark.

Two little friends

Two little friends for Heloise's room.

Made them from the same self-adhesive blackboard sheet as these.

Pretty little garland made by Claire, from thisneckofthewoods.

Sun, beautiful sun

I had a day off today.
I spent it sleeping in, finishing our new wardrobe (and folding tons of clothes, to then arrange them neatly in there), watching a bit of Desperate Housewives and enjoying the beautifully sunny light our apartment was bathed in all day long. It's so good to see some sun again after months of grey skies...! And as you can see above, the sun today was majestic all the way to the last little bit... so nice!

Katoomba birds

A few years ago Mart's parents bought a fantastic house in the Blue Mountains. It's modern but cozy and has a great backyard where the neighbour's sheep sometimes come to graze and where dozens of birds squeak and quack and attack any electrical wires they can find!
I will show you shots of the area in a few days - there are breathtaking cliffs and waterfalls, monumental rocks, and lovely little villages all through the mountains. We went to one especially amazing antique store in a place called Blackheath, where we saw the prettiest and sparkliest antiques I had ever seen.

Papercraft

I looked at the beautiful papercraft book that I received for Christmas while having a cup of tea this afternoon and fell in love with these adorable placemats by Lian Ng for Publique Living.

Also, I'm totally amazed by the finesse of these decoupages by Bovey Lee.
