Rottnest island, day 2

We had such a wonderful time on Rottnest Island last year that we decided to go back this time around, and to stay overnight. I am so happy we did so, as it made the whole experience just that much better.
Most of the visitors just come for the day, and so when the last ferries leave around 5pm, the only people left over are the lucky ones who have scored an accommodation and a few quokkas jumping around. We swam at deserted beaches, snorkeled, had a fantastic barbecue dinner on our little balcony and just had a beautiful time all around.

Beautiful beaches; wonderful life

We have been having such a fantastic time here in Western Australia - the beaches are pure beauties, the weather is incredible, and we have had the most amazing food. Life is perfect over here!

We are off for two nights in Margaret River and surroundings, which promises to be just a wonderful as everything so far. I'll be back in a little while with more photos to prove it!

Saturday shopping in Sydney

Right in the city center

We were so very lucky to be staying right in the city center in Sydney this time around. It was fantastic to be so close to everything.
And for once I did enjoy the traffic! I'm usually a bit of a winger, and find the traffic quite scary in such a big city (I guess that the facts that I come from a small town and that here cars drive on the left don't help). But this time around I could watch it all from our balcony on the 8th floor, and it was great!

We've spent lots of time with Mart's niece and nephew. It's so good to actually be able to play with them, instead of doing it all through skype as we usually do.

We have changed coasts and are now on the other side of the continent, in Western Australia. We had two magnificent weeks in Sydney though, and coz we were so busy I haven't showed you half of it yet! So get prepared for a few more Sydney posts before we get to some WA photos.
