Presents for baby Thomas

Mart's brother and his wife had a beautiful little boy recently and I made them a couple of personalised presents. We sent everything to Australia in the mail as we won't be able to meet the latest addition to the family for a couple of months. In the meanwhile they'll have these to remember us by! :-)

I printed the jumpsuit and mint cloth with templates I cut out of freezer paper and the Sydney changing mat is a crumpled city map I quilted together with thick grey tracksuit fabric. The white jumpsuit is a nod to the fact that Mart's brother has a craft beer wholesale company

our wedding | colourful wooden cutlery

During a few (very) warm days last summer we painted some 400 wooden spoons, forks and knifes with pretty pastel colours in anticipation for our wedding.

We also made little pouches that we printed with our names to hold the cutlery and napkins (using the same stamp as here). It worked great with the personalised fish & chip bags!

our wedding | personalised fish & chip bags

Once our wedding invitations had been printed, I cut the printing plate and made parts of it into two stamps we could use for our special day.

One of the ways we used them was to personalise the bags which wrapped the fish & chips we served at dinner.
I used waterproof ink and simply stamped each bag with our names and the date.

The food was a hit, and the bags were a fun little addition to the evening!

For sale: set of 3 hand-printed onesies

Hello everyone!

I hope you're all having a lovely Sunday. Here a few rays of sun have appeared after a morning of crazy rain... everything is still really wet but it's good to see some light again!

Today I've decided to try something new; I'm quite curious to see what will come out of it!
:-)

From now on, and from time to time, I will offer one-off items for sale on this blog. The idea is to send some of the things I make
off to greener pastures. I love creating stuff but cannot possibly keep them all for myself!

Here's the first item I am putting up for sale. It's actually a set of three. Three adorable hand-printed little onesies which you might remember from this guest post.

Fancy buying them?

In the breeze

online gif creator

I've been doing more bleach printing. Some motifs were more successful than others.
This one is one of my favourites, especially when it moves in the breeze...

Neon striped tea towel

Here's a little bit more neon yellow for you today!

I was inspired by these beautiful HAY tea towels and spray-painted thin neon yellow lines on a stripey tea towel using this method. I'm super happy with the result but am not sure how well it will resist multiple washes... :-)
If it fades away, I'll try embroidering lines with this thread I bought a little while ago!

A new baby cousin

My cousin gave birth to a perfect little boy last week and so I put together a small set of matching onesies and t-shirt for the little one and his older brother. I printed them using this technique.

I can't wait to see them all when I'll go and visit soon!

Cloudy goodness

My friend had her birthday a few weeks ago, and I printed her this cloudy top.
Happy birthday Morgane!

fellow fellow

Photo from here.

Remember Claire, my wonderfully talented friend from this neck of the woods?
She recently moved to Singapore and just opened a new online shop where she sells the most beautiful screen-printed paper goods. I couldn't resist ordering a few things (amongst which the fabulous feathers you can see above) and can't wait to see them all in real life soon.

Happy birthday Papa!

Another birthday away from home, another present sent through the mail. It's really time for me to go back for a visit again; it's been way too long. I wish I could have been there today.

Joyeux anniversaire Papa!
Gros, gros becs...

Pretty colours (kind of)

I liked the real-life colours of this packet much better (the tones were somehow softer and prettier - the photo really doesn't do them justice).

And one for me too

I liked the mini version that I made for Rosalie so much that I decided I had to have one too.

Happy birthday Rosalie!

A cute little t-shirt and bandana for Rosalie's first birthday.
Had loads of fun making the anchor stamp and printing all over the shirt.
Am keeping my fingers crossed that the ink is indeed permanent!

Happy birthday mum!

More printing

When my dad heard I was into printing, he made me a whole collection of wooden pieces to make stamps with. I just used my first one, to make this spotty one. A bit of foam, a few snips, some glue, the all important wooden bit, and that's it! It's so easy; I love it.

Printing

After seeing this post and hearing all about my mum's workshop, I couldn't resist to get a potato out, a sharp little knife, some paint and paper, and to get printing!
