Paper flower

Remember the beautiful paper sculpture from the other day? I tried making a few small white flowers: they look lovely on our xmas tree!

It's winter!

When checking the weather forecast this morning I saw this:

And in Freemantle (Australia), where Mart's parents are, it said this:

Now: I'm really really reaaaaaly happy we'll be there soon with them (even if the jump from one season to the other might be a little intense in the beginning!).
But first we'll spend a lovely (hopefully white) Christmas in Switzerland. I really wouldn't want to miss winter all together!

Lovely sleep in + lots of sun and a bit of snow + cold wintery morning = perfect start of holidays!

Colourful felt

In London I fell in love with a colourful rug at Anthropologie. It was made of hundreds of little balls of felt, and just looked so pretty and comfortable - I would have loved to pack it in my suitcase!
And today, on Pickles, what do I find? A beautiful Christmas wreath made with the same 'ingredients'! I need to learn how to make colourful felt balls: I want a wreath and/or a rug like that too!

(2) a quick snap of the rug, seen 'live', in London

It's snowing in Maastricht!!
It's something that doesn't happen very often, so I'm really excited!

Aachen (Germany), while getting back to the car right after a lovely dinner with friends.
