We had such a wonderful time on Rottnest Island last year that we decided to go back this time around, and to stay overnight. I am so happy we did so, as it made the whole experience just that much better.
Most of the visitors just come for the day, and so when the last ferries leave around 5pm, the only people left over are the lucky ones who have scored an accommodation and a few quokkas jumping around. We swam at deserted beaches, snorkeled, had a fantastic barbecue dinner on our little balcony and just had a beautiful time all around.
