Dee Why and Katoomba again

After several days of almost continuous rain we got very excited to see a little bit of sun when waking up, and decided to go to the beach. Alas, the rain caught up with us, and on the way we got hit by such strong downpour that we seriously thought about going back. But then we figured that if it was raining that hard on the beach, it would mean that there would be lots of free parking spots! So we continued, hoping that the rain would stop, or at least quiet down a little...

And once we reached the top of a big hill and saw a glimpse of the ocean, the weather almost instantly changed into... this!

It was really incredible! In seconds the weather had gone from drastically horrible to... well... perfectly lovely!
It turns out the whole storm had stayed on the other side of the hill, and the beach (Dee Why) was perfectly sunny and beautiful!

In the afternoon we went back up to Katoomba, in the Blue Mountains, and played with Mart's little niece Allegra.
